San Diego Ecocenter Open House - April 15, 2006
Celebrate Earth Day early by learning about alternative fuels at the unique alternative fuel education center, located at the only fuel station that offers five alternative fuels to the public. The on site Non-Profit EcoCenter is the nation's first educational facility dedicated to alternative fuels. Suggested open house donation is $5 per adult and $3 per child. Informational session on California's Education and the Environment Initiative (EEI) May 1, 2006

Wetland Avengers/Campeones de los Cañones
We invite your participation in Wetland Avengers/Campeones de los Cañones on Saturday, April 29th! This year's event is emphasizing the importance of wetlands and watersheds and the connectivity of our bioregion and is being held on both sides of the U.S./Mexico border at Border Field State Park and Canon de los Sauces. During the event, "Base Camp" will be filled with activities for youth and families and informational booths about wetlands, watersheds, water quality, and related issues.

Full time temporary fellowship position is available at the Prescott College Field Station in Kino Bay, Sonora, Mexico, as part of the Kino Bay Environmental Education Program (EEP). The program provides children from the small fishing community of Kino Bay with the knowledge, motivation and skills to become involved in sustainable resource management and conservation efforts in the ecologically rich Midriff Island Region of the Gulf of California, Sonora, Mexico. Border Institute VIII - Cooperation on Planning and Operation of Transboundary Watersheds: Sharing Data across Borders
The Border Institute series is intended to convene top-level policy-makers, scientists, and resource managers in a thoughtful and informed discussion of a timely issue in a border-wide and long-term context -addressing the problems of tomorrow by engaging in a longer, larger, and more integrated view today. SCERP's eighth annual policy conference (Border Institute VIII) will examine watershed management approaches applied in both the United States and in Mexico.
