Open Session on U.S.-Mexico Border EE Issues at NAAEE Conference

U.S.-Mexico Border Environmental Program: Border 2012

If you are attending this year's NAAEE conference in Albuquerque, New Mexico, you are invited to EE on the US-Mexico Border: Sesión Abierta, an open session for anyone doing EE on the US-Mexico Border region to gather and share their experiences with each other as well as with the general audience.

Collaboration on environmental issues is growing in the cross-border region, as evidenced by the cooperative Border 2012 initiative, and the recent materialization of the Border-Wide EE Coalition efforts. Having the conference in New Mexico presents a geographic opportunity to reach out to one another face to face and lay the groundwork for a close, long-term working relationship.

This session is only one of the several focusing on border EE efforts, including a presentation on the EE Council for the Californias; and a session on the Border 2012 EE projects being done in the four state region of Texas, Coahuila, Tamaulipas, and Nuevo Leon.

This is the perfect time and place to start a dialogue that we hope will continue after the conference. Come share your work and ideas and learn about the growing Border-Wide EE Coalition. If you are interested in taking a more active participation in this session, or if you need more information, please contact us at jmarcos-iga@eeexchange.org, the full conference schedule is available at http://naaee.org/pages/conferences/

Be part of this regional networking experience!
